From Monday 6 September 2021 our libraries will be open as follows:

With a new library platform from September
After the summer holidays, you can look forward to a new look of discovery service UKAŽ. Existing systems will be replaced by the new platform Alma. It is necessary to temporarily close all libraries’ operation at Charles University. The temporary shutdown will take place from 12 to 31 August 2021 inclusive. -
Summer opening hours
From 1 July to 11 August 2021, our libraries will have limited opening hours. Open in Hollar: Wed, Thu 11-16, in Jinonice: Tue, Wed 9-17 and in Opletalova: Wed 11-15. From August 12 to September 3, 2021, the library will be transitioning to a new library platform. The old library system will be down. It will not be possible to borrow books. Only the study room will be open. -
Library from May 24, 2021
From Monday, May 24, 2021, the opening hours of the library at Hollar will change. The library will be open on Mondays and Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. For the other two libraries, the operating hours remain unchanged. -
The library is open again!
From Monday, May 10 2021, the opening hours of the library in Jinonice will be extended. For the other two libraries, the operating hours remain unchanged. The service of the electronic reservation of the books from open shelves was cancelled. -
Library is open
From Monday, 19th April 2021, the library is open. The number of users present in the library will be limited in order to keep the limit of one person per 15 m².
