Publikace se zabývá vznikem a prvními roky existence samostatného Československa v mezinárodních souvislostech. Výsledky první světové války a následný vývoj přinesly zásadní změny mocenských poměrů v Evropě. Především se jednalo o vojenské vítězství západních Spojenců nad Německem a Rakousko-Uherskem. S koncem první světové války byl svržen císařský režim v Německu a rozpadla se habsburská říše, romanovská říše carského Ruska a Osmanská říše. Na všechny tyto skutečnosti musely reagovat a vyrovnávat se s nimi tradiční i nové státy.

How does new mediation influence current popular culture? In order to answer this question, collective monograph New Mediation, New Pop-Culture? aims to contribute to the understanding of a new type of mediation, which forms a new popular culture at the beginning of the 21th century.
